Pixel Fonts

I always get asked how I manage to create a nice neat clear text on my pixel tags

I tend to use the following fonts listed below, because I have found that "Plain Fonts"
work much better then "Fancy Fonts"

* Fonts worth using for pixels © Copyright Credit Info at text size 7 - 10*

04b03 [ this one works best set at text size 6 ]
Arial / Arial Narrow
Butterbelly
Comic Sans MS
Garamond
Tahoma
Times New Roman

making sure you have your text size around 8 - 12 too helps
although some fonts are fine if you use 12-20 text size for alittle larger pixel tags!

Again - making sure you have your Text Size set between 10- 20 with these fonts
Those fonts above are not all "Plain" but as your using the text size at about 20 , they do look good

I always make sure my settings on my "A-Tool" are like so (psp7) - and alter the text size to suit the graphic!

Always make sure when doing your text in a straight line you don't have "Antialias" ticked
However if your doing your text on a curve or wavey line - you may find it helps to have the "Antialias" ticked

If your wanting to add a watermark with the © Copyright info on of the Tag / Tutorial / Outline
I recommend doing this on a separate layer to your Tag, and this way you can lower the Transparency setting on the layer so it blends in nicer with your tag, rather then having a horrible huge credit list adding to your tag, which often takes over the graphic.
Also by adding the © Copyright Info to a separate layer this gives you chance to "Colourize" the © Copyright Info so it blends into your graphic - and the chance to export the watermark into your Picture Tube for use at a later date, if your using outlines / tutorials / tubes from Graphic Artists who's Terms state there needs to be credit listings!
