Masks Tutorial 1
Teddy Bear Mask Tutorial

firstly, please note, some picture masks look better then others

it depends on your picture and colour you choose...

so if your not happy with your first attempt, try again :O)

open ANY image in PSP, BUT make sure its  a BMP image. if its not

just duplicate the image and resave as a BMP image!

I'm using this image...

your welcome to use it too...

Just right click and  copy & paste into PSP!!!

I created that image with a FONT , so hopefully no copyright issues

once your image is open in PSP...

click MASKS>>NEW>>FROM IMAGE

and use these settings.....

Now click on the Flood Tool and using either a colour or a gradient or pattern

fill the image -

click MASKS>>INVERT

please note it will look faded - its meant too :O)

now go to LAYERS>>MERGE>>MERGE ALL (FLATTEN)

Now if you wish you can add a frame ....

Go to...IMAGE>>ADD BORDERS

and use the below settings

Now using your magic wand tool , click inside that border and then

use your flood tool and flood it and whilst its still selected add an inner bevel with the below settings...and then repeat the border part again...so you have 2 parts of the frame and then watermark your image and add your name

Like so......

Then SAVE AS ....

Well Done :O)

Masks Tutorial 2

Creating a glitter frame using a mask!

once again the image I'm supplying is one I have created using a font!

your welcome to use it too...

Just right click and  copy & paste into PSP!!!

Glitters downloadable HERE

open up the image :O)

click MASKS>>NEW>>FROM IMAGE

and use these settings.....

Now we are going to do alittle short cut (coz I love short cuts)

click on the flood tool. and using your glitter colour, which you placed in your patterns folder , click the glitter and using it at angle 0 fill your mask

now copy and paste that image into Animation Shop

(CTRL C and CTRL V)

click the glitter and using it at angle 180 fill your mask

now copy and paste that image into the image in Animation Shop

(CTRL C and CTRL L)

click the glitter and using it at angle 270 fill your mask

now copy and paste that image into the image in Animation Shop

(CTRL C and CTRL L)

Once you have all 3 frames...in Animation Shop and all together

we need to alter the speed of the frames. (they need slowing down)

CTRL A - to select all the frames...

then ALT ENTER - then enter speed 20 - then SAVE AS...
